Welcome

I’m in there somewhere!

Hi, I’m James Dibben, and I am passionate about hospice.

I started my hospice career in 2015 when I accepted a position with Northcare Hospice as an RN Case Manager. From there I served as an admissions nurse for Asana Hospice. Following that assignment I became the Patient Care Manager at Beacon of Hope Hospice. For the following 3 years I held multiple clinical director roles and administrator. I am currently an administrator of a small hospice here in Kansas City.

Throughout my hospice career I have always maintained a role in the field. I just recently returned to case management full time. Ultimately, spending time with patients and their families is what I love. Being in the field also helps me maintain my perspective for this website.

The rest of my resume remains quite diverse. I have experience as an LPN in LTC, critical care, private duty and mental health. I also have business administration experience for others and myself in the construction industry.

Due to my extensive experience in patient care and business administration, I have the unique ability to juggle fiscal responsibility with quality patient care.

My goal for this website is two fold.

  1. Share stories and insights from my experiences as a hospice provider.
  2. Provide a resource for other hospice professionals to learn from my expertise with a specific focus on helping nurses avoid burnout while providing top quality care.

I would love to hear from you! Please visit my CONTACT PAGE for all the ways to reach out to me.
